Tandoori Chicken Recipe

Ingredients for preparing Tandoori Chicken

  •  Chicken   – ½ kg
  • Red Chilli Powder   – ½  tbsp
  • Ginger- Garlic paste   -  ½  tbsp
  • Lemon Juice   – 1 tbsp
  • Yoghurt   –  ½ cup
  • Garam Masala Powder    -  1  tsp
  • Green Chilli paste   – 1 tsp
  • Ginger- Garlic paste   -  ½  tbsp
  • Oil    -   2  tbsp
  • Coriander leaves   -  1 stalk
  • Lemon wedges   – 4
  • Onion Rings  -  3 nos.
  • Salt to taste  -  ½  tsp

Steps for preparing Tandoori Chicken

  1. Mix together the red chilli powder, salt and lemon juice. Make a fine paste.
  2. Make small slits on the chicken pieces and marinate it with the above paste for 1 hour.
  3. Mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, chilli paste and garam masala. Mix well.
  4. Pour this yogurt mixture over the chicken and toss it so that the chicken pieces get coated with the paste. Keep it aside for at least 5 hours.
  5. Brush the chicken with little oil and place it in the grill in the oven and cook for almost 15 minutes.
  6. Then take it out and flip into other side, rub some oil and grill it till fully cooked.
  7. Garnish with onion rings and lemon wedges and coriander leaves.
  8. Serve hot as starter.
