Chilli Chicken Recipe

Ingredients for preparing Chilli Chicken

  •  Chicken: boneless   –  250 g
  • Green Chillies   -  3 nos.
  • Onion   – 2 nos.
  • Ginger- Garlic paste  –  1 tbsp
  • Capsicum   – 1 no.
  • Spring Onion   –  ½  cup
  • Chilli sauce   -  1 tbsp
  • Tomato Sauce    – 1 tbsp
  • Soya Sauce    –  2 tbsp
  • Red Chilli Powder    – 1 tbsp
  • Pepper  Powder  -  ½  tsp
  • Vinegar   –  ½  tsp
  • Egg : beaten  -  1 no.
  • Corn flour    - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste   -  ½  tsp
  • Oil      – 2 tbsp

Steps for preparing Chilli Chicken

  1.  Cut the boneless chicken into small pieces. Marinate the chicken with a mixture of one table spoon soya sauce, half table spoon of red chilli powder, beaten egg, salt, pepper powder and corn flour for 1 hr. Deep fry the chicken pieces and keep it aside.
  2.  Heat oil in a skillet, sauté chopped onion, green chilli and ginger garlic paste. Once the onion turns soft and golden brown, add capsicum and chopped spring onion.  Sauté for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3.  Now add chilli powder, tomato sauce, chilli sauce, soya sauce, vinegar and salt.
  4. Add fried chicken pieces in to this mixture, stir to combine. Add ½ cup of water and bring to boil.
  5. When the chicken is ready and coated with the spices turn off the stove.
  6. Serve hot with fried rice.
