Chicken Tikka Recipe

Ingredients for preparing Chicken Tikka

  • Chicken: Boneless  -  250  g
  • Onion: cut into round  -  1  no.
  • Capsicum: cut into round -   1 no.
  • Tomato: cut into round  -  1  no.
  • Curd   -  ¼  cup
  • Ginger Garlic Paste  -   1  tsp
  • Lime Juice  -   1  tsp
  • Chaat Masala: Powdered  -  ½  tsp
  • Garam Masala  -   ½   tsp
  • Cumin Seeds Powder  -  ½  tsp
  • Kasoori Methi (Fenugreek Leaves)  -   ½  tsp
  • Butter   -  ½  cup
  • Coriander Leaves:  Finely Chopped  -   2  stalks
  • Salt to taste  -   ½    tsp

Steps for preparing Chicken Tikka

  1. Clean and cut the chicken into square pieces. Mix curd, ginger garlic paste, salt, lime juice, garam masala, fenugreek leaves and cumin seeds powder. Marinate the chicken pieces with this mixture and keep it for 20 minutes.
  2. Thread the pieces in a skewers alternating with sliced onions, tomato and capsicum and place them on the baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. Then flip the other side of the skewer and bake for 8 to 10 minutes. When the chicken turns golden brown, remove the pieces from the skewer.
  4. Rub the chicken pieces and vegetables with melted butter and sprinkle some chat masala over it. Garnish With coriander leaves.
  5. Serve hot with mint chutney or tomato sauce.
