Chicken Roast Recipe

Ingredients for preparing Chicken Roast

  • Chicken: cleaned and cut into small pieces  -  ½ kg
  • Shallots: chopped  - 10
  • Curry Leaves  - 2 stalks
  • Ginger- Garlic paste  - 1 tbsp
  • Green Chilli – 3 nos.
  • Pepper Powder  - 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala  -  ½  tbsp
  • Coriander Powder  - 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli Powder  -  1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder  -  ½ tsp
  • Coriander Leaves – few
  • Vinegar  - 2 drops
  • Cumin  Seeds –  ½  tbsp
  • Grated Coconut – 1 cup
  • Salt to taste

Steps for preparing Chicken Roast

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt. Keep it aside for one hour.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds. When it is starts to splutter, add chopped shallots, grated coconut, salt and curry leaves. Saute well till the raw smell disappears.
  3. Then Add marinated chicken pieces and cook for 10 mins by covering the pan with a lid. Do not add water.
  4. Finally add pepper powder, green chillies and garam masala. Stir well and allow it to cook for few minutes.
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot best combination.
