Chicken MughulaiIngredients for preparing Chicken Mughulai

  •  Chicken: medium  pieces  -  ½  kg
  • Curd  – 2 tbsp.
  • Red Chilli Powder  -  2 tsp
  • Coriander Powder  -  1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder  -  ½  tsp
  • Onions : chopped  -  2 nos.
  • Tomatoes : chopped  – 2 nos.
  • Ginger   – 1 piece
  • Garlic  -  7 cloves
  • Black Pepper  -  5 nos.
  • Cinnamon  -  1 piece
  • Clove  -  2 nos.
  • Cardamom seeds  -  3 nos.
  • Cumin Seeds  -  ½ tsp
  • Coriander Leaves: chopped   -  2 stalk
  • Oil  -  2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste  -  ½  tsp

Steps to prepare Chicken Mughulai

  1.  Grind all the spices (ginger, garlic, cinnamon piece, cloves, cumin seeds, black pepper and cardamom seeds) together into fine powder.
  2.  Marinate the chicken pieces with chili powder, turmeric powder, curd, coriander powder, salt, and ground spices.
  3.  Heat oil in a pan; fry chopped onion till golden brown.  Add tomato and stir fry over low flame till oil separates.
  4.  Finally add Chicken and fry for a while until the Chicken is well coated with masala.  Add some water and let it cook till chicken is tender and gravy is thick.
  5.  Remove from the fire and Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot.
