Chicken Cutlet
Ingredients for preparing Chicken Cutlet

  • Chicken: boneless  -   ½  kg
  • Ginger- Garlic Paste  -   1  tbsp
  • Onion: chopped  -  2  nos.
  • Potato: boiled  -  2  nos.
  • Ginger: chopped  -  ½   tbsp
  • Garlic: chopped  -  ½   tbsp
  • Green Chillies: chopped  -  5  nos.
  • Chilli Powder   -  ½  tsp
  • Pepper Powder  -  ½  tsp
  • Turmeric Powder  -   ½  tsp
  • Curry Leaves   -  1  stalk
  • Coriander Leaves: chopped  -  1  stalk
  • Egg  -  1  nos.
  • Bread Crumbs  -   1  cup
  • Oil  -  1  cup
  • Salt to taste   -  ½  tsp

Steps for preparing Chicken Cutlet

  1. Cook the chicken with turmeric, salt, pepper powder and garlic-ginger paste and half cup of water. Shred the cooked chicken and set aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a skillet, fry onion, green chillies, garlic and ginger for 5 minutes. Add chilli powder, shredded chicken and Salt. Then add curry leaves, coriander leaves and mashed potatoes.
  3. Cover with a lid and cook on low flame till the chicken is tender.
  4. When the mixture is cooled down, make small balls out of the mixture and flatten it into the shape of cutlet.
  5. Dip the cutlet in the beaten egg and then roll it in the bread crumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a pan; deep fry the cutlet till two sides turn golden brown.
  7. Drain the excess oil in a tissue paper. Serve hot with tomato sauce.
