Chicken Kuruma Recipe

Ingredients for preparing Chicken Kuruma

  • Chicken: cut into small pieces  -  ½  Kg
  • First Coconut Milk   -  1   cup
  • Onion: chopped  -  2  nos.
  • Green  Chillies: cut lengthwise  -   6  nos.
  • Tomato   -   2  nos.
  • Ginger- Garlic Paste   -   2  tsp
  • Coriander Powder  -   1  tbsp
  • Garam Masala  -   1  tsp
  • Ghee  -   1  tbsp
  • Coconut  Oil   -  2  tbsp
  • First Coconut Milk   -  1   cup

Steps to prepare Chicken Kuruma

  1. Heat oil and ghee in a pan, add chopped onion and stir fry till golden brown.
  2. Add green chillies, tomato and ginger garlic paste. Sauté well.
  3. When the oil separates, add coriander powder and salt, stir well. Into this add chicken pieces   and allow it to cook on low flame. Add water to get the gravy and bring to boil.
  4. Finally add first coconut milk and garam masala, mix well. When the gravy is thick turn off the stove.
  5. Serve hot with best combination.
